Something’s been cooking
On our anniversary every year, Michael and I try a new Michelin-starred restaurant.
Once we walk through those doors, everything in the dining room looks effortless. Courses and special touches appear at exactly the right moment. Plates are swept away and water glasses are refilled precisely when needed.

What we don't see is everything behind the scenes.
The prep staff who arrived hours before to chop onions, peel carrots, and debone the chickens. The team meetings where the sommelier briefs the servers on pairings.The sit-downs to refine the menu and make sure it reflects the absolute best of what the season has to offer.
That's where I've been.
