She pitched Taylor Swift. What's your bold move?

You know that moment when a champagne cork 🍾 finally pops? It was never a question of if — only when. All that pressure, all that potential, held perfectly in place — and then suddenly, gloriously, released, met with cheers and delight.

That's Make Your Move May.

We're halfway through, and the moves people are making are making are stretching all of us in the best possible way.

Here's the idea if you're just joining us: stop letting the bold thing sit on the back burner and actually do it this month.

Go for breadth — three outreach emails or pitches a day, building the muscle of showing up consistently.

Or go for depth — deep research, one targeted pitch per week, the kind you really mean.

Or both. The point is you stop waiting for the perfect moment and you pop the cork.

I've been sharing all of this over on Instagram (@theoliviabowen) — including a clip from the How I Built This episode with Gregg Renfrew, founder of Beautycounter, who called the CEO of Saks directly at 7 a.m. to pitch him. Cold. Just picked up the phone. The audacity!

And then there's my friend Anne Marie Cribbin of Thirsty for Wonder — sobriety coach, spiritual companion, and Make Your Move May participant — who pitched Taylor Swift to provide sobriety support to her team on future tours.

Taylor. Swift.

I know. My jaw dropped too.

So if these women can cold-call CEOs and email Taylor Swift's management — what are you waiting for?

Here's what my own May looks like:

Daily personalized outreach to three contacts, and pitching law firms on a complimentary workshop that helps women in law identify exactly where they're leaving power on the table — and what to do about it.

If you have a firm connection, I'd love an introduction. I get to share work I'm passionate about, they get to support their team in a meaningful way, and the women in the room get one step closer to actually feeling the payoff of what they've worked towards. Help me bring that win-win-win scenario to life?

What's your move this month?
