It’s not about the photos
“Does this dress say, ‘I can align your chakras and then deliver a keynote about quantum leaping your business?’” I asked my husband, holding up a velvet Farm Rio mini dress with dramatic sleeves. (Scroll down for a preview.)
My photoshoot prep has evolved over the years. I’ve been lucky enough to work with my dear friend and photographer, Meghan LaPrairie, every 12–18 months—and it’s been wild to track the evolution.
Back in 2021, I nervously pulled items from my closet, got a too-stiff DryBar blowout, and tried to smile big while sitting very straight. All that focus on me?! So uncomfortable, even with a friend behind the camera.
By summer 2024, I’d settled into myself as a coach. I wanted images that invited people in—strong, grounded, connected to nature.
And this year? It’s photoshoot as portal.
I used to ask clients, “Who do you need to become to lead the kind of business you want to lead?”
But lately, I’ve realized there’s a better question:
👉 Who do you get to become to lead your favorite version of your business?
It’s one part stripping away, one part stepping in and claiming. (We even have a whole module around this in my new membership program.)
Right now, I’m claiming:
