Your work isn’t the problem. Please don’t disappear.
Another week of the news cycle being an absolute gut punch.
If you need to retreat, step away, take rage walks, scream into a pillow, focus on mutual aid, spend an absurd amount of time in an epsom salt bath, or make calling your reps your full-time job — I support every one of those choices. (And that can change moment to moment.)
This note is for the entrepreneur who wants to turn toward their work right now and is wondering if that’s okay.
As an ethical business owner, you might be asking yourself: Can I really be selling right now? Can I make offers when so much harm is happening?
I’ve been sitting with that question too.
I’m not here to recap the horrors. You already know, and I’m not here to activate your nervous system. And I’m definitely not here to tell you to push through or override your humanity.
What I am here to do is remind you of this:
Your work matters.
Your work helps people.
It brings relief, care, clarity, nourishment, beauty, healing, comfort. And in moments like this, the world needs more of that — not less.
I’ve seen posts saying not to buy from anyone who’s selling right now. To blacklist anyone making offers.
I understand the impulse. And still — I disagree.
Because when values-led entrepreneurs disappear, it actually makes it more difficult to be active in the Resistance.
You become under-resourced. Your nervous system frays. Your business becomes unsustainable.
And eventually, the work that actually helps people disappears too.
That doesn’t serve anyone.
If you need to rest, rest. Of course.
But I can’t have you hiding.
And I don’t want you ashamed of offering what you’ve built with care and integrity.
What you do is part of what’s needed right now.
So if you’ve been waiting for permission to keep showing up — here it is.
Making offers is not a distraction from the work. It’s what allows you to do the work.
When you have a sustainable business, you have:
more nervous system capacity
more energy to stay engaged
more choice about where you give your time and money
more resilience for the long haul
You can show up.
You can rest when you need to.
You can donate, organize, call your reps, support mutual aid, and keep your lights on.
A resourced, supported entrepreneur is far more powerful than an exhausted, broke one.
So yes — making offers is part of how we stay in this together. It’s how we keep building lives and businesses that can actually sustain the fight.
And because I believe in walking my talk, I want to highlight two ways you can work with me right now, both discounted through Jan. 31:
Reiki for Leaders
This is a deeply restorative, one-hour virtual Reiki session for people holding a lot — emotionally, energetically, and practically.
If your nervous system feels stretched thin, scattered, or overloaded, this work helps you come back into your body, your clarity, and your sense of inner steadiness.
It’s designed to support leaders who need to keep showing up without burning out.

Worth It Workshop
This is a live workshop for entrepreneurs who want their money to feel steadier, clearer, and actually supportive of their lives.
We’ll look at:
how to structure your accounts
how to handle incoming money with confidence
how to make spending and investing decisions without spiraling
The early bird rate is available through January 31, and it’s the lowest price this workshop will be offered. Use promo code WORTHIT to secure your ticket at half off.
Keep doing your work so you can keep doing the work.
P.s. Last spring, I raffled off free coaching sessions to anyone who called their elected officials — and I’m bringing that back. Call your reps and tell them to demand we strip funding from ICE (the 5 Calls app makes this easy). Reply to this email and let me know you did it, and I’ll select someone each week for a free 1:1 with me as a thank you.
P.p.s. Community matters more than ever. If you’re local, mark your calendar for Monday, February 8, and join us for a special edition of The Portal. As part of this month’s activation, we’ll be making bouquets to show your business some love. People call the Portal “the perfect way to start the week” and “how every Monday should be.” If you want to come, just hit reply and let me know — we’d love to have you.
P.p.p.s. And a final reminder: choosing support right now is a strategic power move. Both Reiki for Leaders and Worth It: An Empowered Money System for 2026 are designed to help you stay resourced, steady, and able to keep showing up. These rates end on 1/31.
