Your brain is a story machine. Program it for powerful moves.
New obsession incoming, and I need to tell you about it.
A few months ago I started studying NLP — neurolinguistic programming — with Megan Blacksmith, and it is doing something to my brain and my business that I did not see coming. I want to share what I've been learning, because I think it might do the same for you.
Here's the short version of what NLP actually is: it's the study of how the language you use — out loud and inside your own head — shapes your experience of reality. Change the language, change the experience.
This is something I've been doing for years, but now I've unlocked layers and layers of ways to do it even more effectively. Who wouldn't want that?
Here's an example of what I mean.
I'm what you might call a promiscuous reader. I've always got at least 10 books going at a time — 50 or more each year, ranging from beachy romance to business and personal development to bricks like The Power Broker. (Have you read? Can we discuss?)
When I started working with NLP, I realized this quirk is actually a goldmine:
I've always got at least 10 books going at a time. And that means I can hold a lot of information, sort through a heap of details, and find exactly the right entry point for any story at any time. Especially yours.
Same fact. Completely different meaning. And when I find the most empowering version of whatever is happening, I show up differently.
That's a sleight of mouth. It's one of the core NLP tools, and once you start seeing them, you cannot stop. They're everywhere — in the stories you tell about your business, your pricing, your clients, your capacity.
Every "I'm not good at..." or "I've always struggled with..." is a frame waiting to be rewritten.
The other thing I've been doing — and this one is going to sound a little out there, so stay with me — is using AI to interview me and draft custom meditations built on NLP principles. Then I record them on my voice memo app with theta wave music playing in the background.
Even just the act of recording them does something. Hearing your own voice speak a new story about yourself, in your own words, built around your own specific patterns — it lands differently than any generic meditation ever could.
I've been doing this off the back of just a handful of sessions with Megan. And I cannot stop thinking about what's going to happen when I'm in the room with her for three full days in October.
Which brings me to something I want to share with you.
Megan is hosting IGNITE Live 2026 — a three-day live experience in Virginia Beach, October 12th through 14th, designed to collapse your timelines and shift your identity from the inside out.
I'm going. And I want you to come with me.
The tools Megan teaches don't just help you think differently. They help you speak differently — to your clients, your team, your audience, and yourself. For an entrepreneur, that's an essential revenue skill. I know this because I've been using them for a few months and the difference is already undeniable.
Tickets are $297. Grab your spot here.
And here's something I'm doing for my people specifically: if five of you register using my link, I'll host a virtual mastermind the following week — so we can integrate what we learned, make a plan, and start putting things into motion together. The mastermind alone is a $997 value!
